The Welsh Conservatives have unveiled an election pledge to halve tuition fees for Welsh students studying STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and modern foreign language subjects at Welsh universities.
In a message on the Welsh Conservatives twitter account, the party said: "This will allow students to bounce back post-pandemic."
Refund tuition fees
The Tories have also unveiled another election pledge to refund the tuition fees of students who become doctors, nurses, or teachers after their graduation.
The promise would only apply to those working in the Welsh NHS, or teaching in Welsh schools, and will be valid for a five-year period after their studies.
