Urdd Gobaith Cymru has announced sixty new jobs on Monday (19 April), with a view to rebuilding for the future.

This includes twenty new jobs within the Apprenticeships Department.

In February 2020, the Welsh Government announced £1.3million to support the organisation's recovery following the pandemic.

The Urdd has some 55,000 members between the ages of 8 and 25, and is well known and loved for its five residential centres, which include Llangrannog and Glan-llyn.

The Urdd Eisteddfod is one of Europe's largest youth festivals.

According to the Welsh Government, the Urdd will play an invaluable role in its goal of achieving one million Welsh speakers by 2050.

The organisation provides experiences for children from all corners of the country and from varying backgrounds.

Over the years, the Urdd has nurtured many of our most talented and celebrated names- such as actor Matthew Rhys and footballer Aaron Ramsey.
