Urdd Gobaith Cymru and TG Lurgan have teamed up for a second time to create a bilingual Welsh-Irish cover of the hit Welsh-language song 'Gwenwyn' by Alffa.

The second collaboration between the two youth organisations was released on Thursday (22 April) and includes contributions by 28 young people from Cymru and Ireland.

The video includes performances by two dancers who coordinated their choreography together.

TG Lurgan is an Irish-language musical project that has amassed millions of views on YouTube for its cover versions of famous pop songs, including 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii. Its aim is to introduce Irish language and culture to a global audience.

TG Lurgan said (translated from Welsh):

"This is a project that brings the young people of Wales and Ireland together through the work of the Urdd and IT Lurgan - two organizations that share the same vision, of celebrating the languages and creativity of young people.

"Despite the challenges we face, we believe it is more important now than ever to make connections and extend friendships to our friends around the world. Together we will be stronger."
