Plaid Cymru has said that the country must avoid any further lockdowns "at all costs".
Speaking to BBC Wales, Adam Price said that Cymru should learn from other countries that have kept coronavirus cases and mortality rates low.
Price said that what these countries have in common is their effective test, trace, and isolate systems that allowed them to identify coronavirus outbreaks early enough so as to avoid lockdowns.
Price told BBC Wales: "That is the means by which many of those countries that invested in that type of approach avoided lockdowns, precisely because they were able to identify outbreaks earlier and maintain them at a low level through suppressing the virus very, very actively."
