
Extra police officers will be patrolling the streets, as well as areas prone to Covid breaches, as pubs, bars, and restaurants prepare for a busy bank holiday weekend.
It is the first holiday weekend in five months in which it will be possible to consume food and alcohol outdoors.
South Wales Police has issued important safety advice to the public, advising people to check their venue arrangements in advance; to plan their journeys; to drink responsibly; to show respect to bar staff; and to respect neighbours.
The also caution against drink driving and putting pressure on the emergency services.
During the Easter bank holiday weekend, large crowds amassed outside hotspots including, Bae Caerdydd, Abertawe's SA1 waterfront, Ynys Y Barri, and Porthcawl.
