A football team composed of Welsh independence supporters is set to face Matabeleland Football this September.
The game has been organised by Welsh Football Fans for Independence— a group that has previously organised pro-independence marches before Cymru football fixtures.
#IndyWales will play Matabeleland Football at Stadiwm Hilltop—the home ground of RTB Ebbw Vale FC— on September 19.
The Matabeleland Football Confederacy says that it "uses football to rebuild a community, a people a nation. We use football to pursue peace development and community transformation."
Welsh Football Fans for Independence said that information relating to tickets will be announced in due course.
The group is also collaborating with Team Tor Sports—a custom team-wear and merchandise company—on a shirt to mark the occasion.
