First Minister Mark Drakeford has said that he has written to Plaid Cymru leader Adam Price to confirm that his government is willing to work on a cross-party basis to tackle the housing crisis.
Drakeford said: “I have seen Plaid Cymru’s five point plan and I’m sure there are ideas we can work on together. I agree that we need to use many tools including taxation and planning and others, bringing them together to try and make a difference and hopefully by working together.”
Drakeford also said that he would meet with Price on Wednesday afternoon to discuss how both parties could coöperate to tackle the issue.
The statements were made in response to a question by the Plaid Cymru MS for Ynys Môn Rhun ap Iorwerth who called on the First Minister to make "a full and clear commitment" to tackling the housing crisis.
