Crowds gathered outside the Senedd at noon on Saturday (1 May) to observe International Workers' Day; more commonly referred to as May Day.

May Day is an annual celebration of labourers and the working classes.

In attendance were representatives from the GMB trade union and Undod, among others.

Protests were also held in Aberystwyth, Hwlffordd, and Abertawe.

In the north of Caerdydd, a six-day long 'camp out' has also begun to demonstrate against the destruction of the 'Northern Meadows'.

At 14:00 on Sunday (2 May), a protest will take place on Yr Eglwys Newydd common.
