Alun Wyn Jones selected as Lions captain, alongside nine other Welsh players

Cymru captain Alun Wyn Jones has been chosen to captain the British and Irish Lions for their upcoming tour that is scheduled to take place in South Africa, it has been confirmed.


Jones will be the third successive Welshman to captain the Lions, after Sam Warburton captained the tours to Australia and New Zealand.


Nine other Welsh players have been selected by former Cymru coach Warren Gatland, including winger Louis Rees-Zammit.


The other Welsh players selected are Josh Adams, Dan Biggar, Gareth Davies, Liam Williams, Taulupe Faletau, Wyn Jones, Justin Tipuric, and Ken Owens.
